Bait

The story revolves around a small thief Alvin Sanders (Jamie Foxx) .He is caught in a small theft and is put in the same cell where a big criminal John Jaster (Robert Pastorelli) is present. Jaster along with his gang has recently stolen gold worth of 42,000,000 Dollars. He is in a very bad condition due to health problems and request Alvin to convey the coded message to his wife about the hidden gold. At the same time Edgar Clenteen (David Morse) is investigating the lost wealth. He tries to find the meaning of the coded message in order to solve the case. Besides Clenteen, Bristol (Doug Hutchison) who is Jaster’s partner is also after the gold. The story progresses as Clenteen uses Alvin to track Bristol and to ultimately find the secret of gold as well as course of events happening in Alvin personal life.
