When Tim (Barry Watson) was just a little boy, he saw something terrible happen. He saw The Boogeyman come out of the closet in his bedroom and kidnap his father. Or did he? For the past twenty years, Tim has tried to come to terms with what he saw by living in a world without shadows, without doors and with a great amount of fear. But a trip back to his childhood home after the death of his mother sends Tim perfectly ordered world crashing down around him. Can Tim and his childhood friend Kate (Emily Deschanel) defeat The Boogeyman or is it all in Tim's imagination?
