David Walker is a popular history teacher(Simon Baker) at a private school for girls in New Jersey, and happily married to Elaine (Frances O’Connor). Then one day, the blissful young couple meets Chet Becker (Gregory Smith), a lonely fifteen year old high school student at a local ice cream parlor. The three are immediately taken with one another, and begin a friendly relationship that suits them all at first. But Chet’s boyish crush on Elaine eventually becomes less than innocent, and leads to an indiscretion that will effect all of them. Forgiveness is given, but hard to come by, and none of the three will ever be the same again.
