Bruce Willis plays a former hostage negotiator who has moved to a sleepy town in California to get away from his old life after a negotiation goes horribly wrong and a little boy and his mother are murdered. Life is going well until a trio of teenaged thugs joy-riding in a stolen truck decide to break in to a palatial mansion in the mountains only to find that it is occupied. Things quickly fall apart when the police are notified, the patriarch is beaten into a coma, and a cop is killed by the "loose cannon" (Ben Foster) of the group. Soon Willis is back in his old role of trying to save the day and the family. Matters are complicated when he discovers the owner of the house was a bookkeeper for a shadowy organization laundering millions of dollars. They want what's inside the house, and Bruce wants to get the family out, but if he does, the laundered money inside will be taken into evidence and lost forever. It's a thrill ride from start to finish that you won't want to miss.
