House Party

Kid (Christopher Reid) is supposed to go to a party at his friend Play’s (Christopher Martin) house, where Bilal (Martin Lawrence) will be the DJ. Kid’s Pop (Robin Harris) forbids him to attend. Kid sneaks out when Pop is asleep. Kid encounters a bully called Stab (Paul Anthony) on the way and ducks into a class reunion to hide. The police embarrass Kid, Stab, and two other bullies. Kid gets to the house party and into a dance contest with Sidney (Tisha Campbell) and Sharene (A. J. Johnson). Stab interrupts and the police catch him again. Kid likes Sidney although Sharene flirts with Kid. Kid goes to Sidney’s house but has to sneak out when her parents get home. He encounters Stab and his fellow thugs again and they all go to jail for a while until Kid’s friends post bail. Kid sneaks back into his home, but Pop had seen him sneak out and is furious.
