Janky Promoters

Gangsta rappers may be at the mercy of unethical concert promoters who control the industry. Russell Redds (Ice Cube) and Jellyroll (Mike Epps) rank high on the list when their shady behavior may undo them. Working to put on a Young Jeezy (Young Jeezy) concert in Modesto, California, may be their first mistake, but their ineptitude is only matched by their dishonest approach to the profession. Worse yet, Russell Redds’ mother known as Momma (Juanita Jennings) may be more shady than he is, but Redds books the concert as a device to help his own son (Little JJ) become a rapper. Saving money at every step, he even puts the star Jeezy and his entourage in a cheap motel for the night. The promoters have a scam that creates the usual hi-jinks.
