Journey To The End Of The Night

Sinatra (Scott Glenn) and Paul (Brendan Frasier) are an American father and son team who run a brothel loosely disguised as a night club in corrupt São Paulo, Brazil. They both love the beautiful Angie (Catalina Sandino Moreno) who is the mother of Sinatra’s young son Lazare (Luke Denis Nolan) and they both want out of the corrupt underworld and away from each other. One night a customer forgets a stolen suitcase of cocaine at the brothel and Sinatra plans to sell it to some Nigerians to fund his escape from Brazil with Angie and his youngest son while his adult son Paul hopes to take the money and use it for his own return to America. That same night Sinatra enlists a Yoruba-speaking dishwasher named Wemba (Mos Def) to fill in for the drug mule who dies suddenly in the brothel. When Wemba disappears in the dangerous nighttime streets, Paul reacts by showing his brutal true self, the drug deal goes awry, and Angie makes her choice by dawn.
