The Karate Kid

When Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) and his mother Sherry (Taraji P. Henson) are forced to leave the United States and move to China neither of them thought this new country would bring out a side of Dre no one knew existed. Dre developed a crush on a local girl, and along with that crush catches the attention of the local bully as well. With the help of Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), Dre learns much needed skills in order to defend himself and his pride at a Kung Fu Tournament. Dre knew very little martial arts and Mr. Han was not a conventional teacher. Together they work to overcome their downfalls and the Karate Kid finally learns how to defend himself with honor.
