When best friends T. S. Quint (Jeremy London) and Brodie Bruce (Jason Lee) are dumped by their girlfriends Brandi Svenning (Claire Forlani) and Rene Moiser (Shannen Doherty) in the same afternoon, the pair meet up with nere-do-wells Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Kevin Smith) at the local mall and hatch a hare-brained scheme to win the ladies back by crashing the dating television show produced by Brandi’s father that is being filmed in the mall’s food court. A fun romp through the trials and tribulations of slackerdom with a little bit of insight courtesy of comic book author Stan Lee.
