Plot

An American Marxist regime - comically woke, harshly repressive, and poorly run. An underground resistance movement. An amusing young romance. Izzy, an attractive college senior, belongs to an underground freedom movement resisting the repressive bumbling regime. She wants to recruit Tom for the underground, an unlikely choice as a rising young star in the Socialist Utopia Party. But she heard Tom may have sympathies for freedom and access to inside information. He's also nice looking. Will their cautious interactions and gradual revelations develop into a deeper relationship of shared beliefs? Meantime, while the political elites live high, most people are sinking into cynicism and deep poverty under the regime's absurd programs. Will increasing friction between the two marginally competent Party leaders finally provide an opportunity for the underground to take action? How can the underground forces win a major armed conflict? Will Tom ever be reunited with his capitalist parents who are in a massive prison camp? Appealing characters, engaging and humorous dialogues and narratives, political and cultural satire, surprising twists and thriller scenes.
