The Grand Tour of Kerry is an anthology of travel writing about County Kerry, Ireland. Covering almost 800 years, the book provides first-hand accounts of the area by almost seventy visitors. Among those included are well-known writers such as George Bernard Shaw, Robert Mitchum, Edna O'Brien, Brendan Behan, Mrs Beeton and Virginia Woolf. There are also descriptions of the county by some less well known (though equally fascinating) characters. Illustrated with antique maps, old etchings and historical photographs, The Grand Tour of Kerry is both a journey through the county and a trip back in time.
