Synopsis: Short #2 (previously released as "Short Cinema Journal #1.2") has been remastered and redesigned exclusively for this DVD release. The "Dreams" issue includes "La Jetee," the short that inspired Terry Gilliam's "12 Monkeys," in director Chris Marker's preferred cut. "The Big Brass Ring" has also been turned into a feature, starring William Hurt; "Short 2" is the only place you can see the original short, adapted from an Orson Welles screenplay and starring Malcolm McDowell. Remember little Fred Savage from "The Wonder Years?" He's all grown up--drinking, swearing and doing a nude love scene in "A Guy Walks into a Bar." Other films include Max von Sydow narrating the underwater marvel "Depth Solitude;" "The Eye Like a Strange Balloon" by cult Canadian director Guy Maddin; "Cafe Bar," an animation classic from Alison de Vere of the Beatles' "Yellow Submarine" fame; and much much more.
