For many women, the fifties are a milestone period, marking the point at which they become free from the constraints of earlier years: a period which can mark a positive and enthusiastic "second adulthood", and provide an opportunity for inner growth and outward achievement. This book covers the issues relevant to women in their fifties. It shows that the fifties can be the prime of life for women today. The women featured are diverse and articulate.
