Plot

Rick Raphael here rides his new-wave style along the phantasmagoric highroads of America's future - a million-mile roadway system... regular cruising at 600mph... a breathalysed nightmare of speed, speed, speed... And along this thruway drives patrol car 56: a 60-foot wonder of mechanical and electronic devices, with a miniature hospital, a machine shop, a jail and living quarters.
