It is written in a direct conversational style, with stories of tension, drama and humour. Graham Richardson was born into a political household and was taught how to survive by his parents. He describes his early days in the NSW Labor movement, his involvement with the Whitlam era, and the Keating-Hawke challenge. This is an insider's story, filled with political strategies, ruthless application of decisions, character descriptions and a collection of political wisdom.
