I Confess

After a heinous murder has been committed, the local police search desperately for suspects or any witnesses that could potentially aid them in apprehending a guilty party. After much investigation, the authorities believe that Catholic Father Logan (Montgomery Clift) is the one who actually committed the crime. This is false, as the priest knows who the real killer is after he took his confession for the very crime that the police are now accusing of. He cannot reveal the man’s identity though, as the confession was made formally to the Church, which makes it strictly confidential. Now Father Logan must find a way to prove his innocence before it is too late.
