1984

“1984” is a harrowing look into the future. It is the year, 1984 and the world is a state controlled regime run by a totalitarian government. The state run society watches over and spies on the citizens of the not so free world. Known as “Big Brother” the system has outlawed many common place things such as love. It is forbidden to fall in love. One Big Brother employee, Winston (Edmond O'Brien) falls in love with a lobe woman named Julia (Jan Sterling). He tries to hide his emotions but is eventually ousted by his long time friend, General O’Connor (Michael Redgrave) who has Winston imprisoned and tortured in attempt to recondition him into the expected ways of the state.
