Hot Times

The low-budget story of a horny teen named Archie Anders, his hungry pal Mughead, his arch-rival Reggy, and his girl pals Bette and Ronnie. Sound familiar? Archie's desperate to get him some lovin' before that big ball in Times Square drops and ushers in the brand-spankin' new year of 1974. THIS IS A GREAT RARE ONE! This obscure sex comedy uses all the characters from the Archie comics! The producers were sued and the film was yanked from theaters until the case was thrown out. It's actually funny, has TONS of very hot naked chicks and a great grimy 70's NYC feel. If you like Paul Glickler's The Cheerleaders, than this is a must have. It's in my top 10.

Review:

"Hot days" is campy, a bit over the top, with gross jokes, lots of female nudity and bad mid 1970s haircuts. And however whenever I viewed this on Cinemax back in the 1980s and felt that is was almost hardcore, now I realize it was simply a small piece Americana that revealed what some children were truly doing in the mid 1970s in the East coast. It can be called a parody of the "Archie" comic book series, but it slightly changes the names, and although the jokes are dated and, only one member of the cast has in fact had a decent movie career, it is not as pretentious as "Porky's", "H.O.T.S" and "Preppies". Ther plot revolves about the intimate happening of one Archie Anders whom, has great looking screwup and classmates best friends in his large school. The house life is not much better with rigid parents, and sleeping in with the older sis, whom is a nag,but as we find away later has rather a body. The film is tongue in cheek and not as over the top as many would have evaluated back in the day.The jokes are in fact funny, and people who lived back then could relate. Thumbs up!
