Pulling her own operatives to investigate the murder of Vesper Fairchild, Oracle sends Black Canary to investigate Vesper's apartment. There, she discovers a series of recorded interviews Vesper had taken, all of which concern Gotham's resident vigilante... Batman. Oracle herself goes to Blackgate prison to speak with Sasha Bordeaux, Bruce's bodyguard in an attempt to learn just how much she knows. Ted Kord is working on getting back into super-hero shape, but prodded by Oracle, he goes to the doctor for a physical workup.
