Seo-jeong is mortified at the movie theater. Pil-seong finds an odd item at a crime scene, prompting him to surmise that it's linked to Hwang Dae-du.

As fellow police detectives express concern over Pil-seong's fixation with the past, Seo-jeong stops by the station to ask a favor -- about her mother.

After an unexpected ally suddenly materializes out of nowhere, Seo-jeong informs Pil-seong that she wants to figure things out on her own.
