A 9 éves Lily-t megviseli a szülei különélése. Az apjával, Serge Jr-rel töltött kevés örömteli pillanatot a teherautóversenyek és rodeók jelentik számára, meg az utazás a nagy Kenworth W900-as teherautón. Az apa egy alkalommal meglepetésként a híres, Kanada távoli részén tartott Badlands Truck Rodeóra viszi el lányát. Kemény, költői road movie, amely az apa-lánya kapcsolatok rejtélyébe ássa bele magát.

Lily, 9 years-old, is torn by her parents separation. Her few joyful moments with her father, Serge Jr, are the truck races and rodeos in his big Kenworth W900 truck. When she is taken on a surprise road trip to the biggest Rodeo in the Badlands, in the far west of Canada, the adventure starts out as a party. But things turn ominous as the landscape changes and police get closer. Lily soon realizes that there may not be a way back…

Après une séparation houleuse, Serge Jr embarque sa fille Lily, 9 ans, pour un voyage en camion à travers le Canada. Direction l’Alberta et le légendaire Badlands World’s Best Truck Rodeo, une course à laquelle lui et Lily ont tant rêvé. Sur la route, sous le regard de plus en plus inquiet de sa fille, Serge va devoir faire face aux conséquences de ses actions. Un road-movie âpre et poétique qui creuse le mystère des relations père-fille.
