Kémeri: Season 1

We're in the 1920s. Gédike, the wealthy banker is found dead in his study, the police determine suicide. However his widow does not believe this, other than because 19 gold bars were stolen from his bank's safe on the same night. So she visits her old acquaintance, private investigator Kémeri, to find out the truth, who has nothing else to do, and takes on the case.

Every night in the Esztergom Christian 'Gallery strange noises can be heard, and also lights flickering, but when they enter can't be found anybody there. Furthermore some pictures fade. The solution of the mystery falls on Kémeri, who finds out the biggest picture theft of the century takes place, and the criminals made fake replacements not to be caught. In addition the Papal Nuncio arrives in the near future, whose first journey always lead to the gallery, so by then he needs to find the real paintings.

We are in the 1930s. Martial law has been declared in Hungary since 13th of September 1931, when Szilveszter Matuska blasted the train to Vienna on the viaduct of Biatorbágy. Despite martial law, there are still too many train-attacks happen. Kémeri is approached by a colleague who wants him to find out who is behind the attacks. Kémeri believes the only way to catch the assassins to catch them on the train while in action.

When the Prince of Wales, the future heir of the throne visits Hungary, an assassination plot is planned against him, in which one of Kémeris former protegees Stella, the beautiful dancer becomes a key player. Since he is secretly in love with the girl, do not hesitate to help her. Bánát also assigns his men to protect the prince, but Kémeri is always way ahead of him.

We're in the 1940s. The Germans came to Hungary, whoever they could fled, most of the time illegally. A textile miller escapes to Switzerland, as planned his wife follows him in a few weeks. However shortly before leaving, the woman receives a letter which makes her suspect that her husband has been killed. Therefore she visits Kémeri, whom she then falls in love. Kémeri wants to ensure her safe flee, so he joins the next small group of escapees in disguise.
