Ottoman forces face a crushing defeat in the Battle of Vienna in 1683. During the retreat, Hasan Balaban is seriously injured and left behind.

Balaban's integration among the people of Moena progresses, and his bond with Gloria strengthens amid increasing risks. The enemy's army is approaching the village.
