The Master Of Ballantrae

“The Master of Ballantrae” is a story during the time of the Jacobite Rising. Jamie Durie (Errol Flynn) and his brother Henry Durie (Anthony Steel) split the need to join the uprising and the loyalists. This way whatever side wins the battle, the Durrisdeer estate will retain its noble standing no matter what. Jamie is off to join the uprising while Henry stays behind. Jamie is believed dead when the uprising fails and Henry gains the family estate. Jamie is alive and well as he joins up and becomes partners with Captain Arnaud (Jacques Berthier), thus becoming a pirate on the high seas finding fame and fortune but the beginning of the adventure doesn’t begin until he returns home to find the troubles his brother, Henry are in.
