When Winston Churchill convinces the Americans they aren't yet ready to take on German forces, the Allies launch a three-pronged attack on North Africa. Patton, charged with capturing Casablanca, launches a complex, three-pronged attack of his own in which he faced face French forces allied with Germany. In the end, however, he is disappointed he didn't distinguish himself.

After American forces are overwhelmed at Kassarine Pass Patton is sent to the front to take charge. After whipping the American forces into shape and crushing an Afrika Corps surprise attack at El Guetar, Patton and the British drive the Germans from Tunisia.

After landing in Sicily and defeating the Italians Patton's forces halt a German counter attack. Then, unwilling to stand by while the British move North to Messina, Patton leads an attack and conquers Palermo then heads east to re-enforce the British still fighting for Messina.

Patton's bloody brutal drive to Messina leaves historians wondering if he was obsessed with beating the British. In this campaign Patton slaps and verbally abuses soldiers complaining of battle fatigue. Finally, an amphibious flanking tactic proposed by General Lucian Truscott enables Patton's forces to capture Messina and drive the Germans from Sicily.

Relieved of command for abusing a pair of soldiers in Sicily, Patton is used as a decoy during the invasion of Normandy. As the Allies finally break out of Normandy Patton regains his command now under his previous subordinate Omar Bradley. But Patton soon learns he does not agree with Bradley's tactics.

Despite the conservative orders of his commanders Patton strives to destroy the German army before it can escape through the Falaise Gap and regroup east of the Seine. As Patton pursues the Germans Eisenhower diverts his supplies to a plan of Montgomery's.

Not content to wait for Montgomery and lacking fuel Patton engages in local operations preempting a German counter attack. But when Patton allows his infantry to regroup the Germans attack again and again only to be crushed by Patton's forces.

Anxious to breakout of Lorraine, Patton's frustrations turn from supply issues to a stubborn network of German bunkers. His army will pay a heavy price to overcome them.

As Nazi Germany waged a desperate major counterattack on the Western Front, Gen. Patton's forces raced against time and the elements to stop it.

As Patton drives into Germany a personal agenda leads to disaster. Then, when the Soviets deny Patton the greatest prize of the war, Berlin, he is sent to liberate Czechoslovakia.
