Mitsubachi Maya no boken

As a thank you to Maya saving the ant boat, she is allowed to take on the role of the colonel for a day. But the rules in the ant squad are strict.

Max, the earthworm, is a bit depressed, and the eternal rain is to blame. He knows that as an earthworm he should actually be comfortable in the rain, but he simply doesn't.

Maya and Willie get to know a little green frog, and they find him very cute. But the frog is far from cute, as he wants to eat Maya and Willie for breakfast.

Maya gets to know Pucka, the cranky fly. Together they fly into a house. The old man who lives there is very friendly, until someone annoys him.

Maya is hard at work filling in for Weevil who has set out on a quest to locate some food to bring home.

Maya is responsible for saving the snails from a frightening forest fire that put everyone in immediate danger.

One day, MaYa and Willie discover an old locust lady, alien to them, in the garden. She has missed the connection to the large group of locusts and is now sitting in the garden, rather despondent and dissatisfied with herself.

Maya and Willie learn that cicadas grow under the earth. They would really like to meet one and then embark on this quest, at their own risk.

Maya gets to know and love the life of the ants, but Willie doesn't like that at all. He has had bad experiences so far and does not want to submit to the strenuous rules of the ants. But he doesn't want to do without Maya either.

Will has his work cut out for him when he spends a whole day as an ant.

Flip decides to compete in the jumping contest for championship of the forest, and must put every skill to the test.

Maya meets a sick millipede, but the millipede doesn't know exactly what is wrong. Some of his many legs are no longer playing along, and he is just about to perform as a one-man band.

Cedric is hard at work coming up with a way to rescue Flip from a rather critical situation before it is too late.

Mister Greenbloom decides to move his family all the way to hazy woods; Maya spends some time acting as a scout.

Maya has promised a pair of beetles to look after the brood. Willie had no idea how difficult it is to guard a wild bunch of little beetles.

Maja and Willie meet a little fat fly that shows them a lot of balls to play with. What they do not know is that they are moth eggs. By chance they find out that the meadow is full of various spherical eggs.

For the first time in their lives, Maya and Willie are confronted with the glowworm's glowing powers, which gives Maya an idea. She always wanted to peek into the mole's mysterious underground world.

Maya discovers a small cage with a sad cricket in it, and she calls her friends together to try and free the cricket.

Maya makes a strange discovery. Some leaves are not leaves, but butterflies. Some branches are not branches, and there is a wasp that is not a wasp at all. Maya's world is turned upside down.

Maya stays outside at night. At first she finds it scary, but then a flower elf is brought to life. Maya had imagined him differently, more like in a fairy tale. But the flower elf is happy and enterprising.

Maya frees a relative from the force of a spider, and then the inhabitants of a termite building are at risk when an ant beetle comes dangerously close.

Emmett the beetle goes on a diet to control his strength.

Ant Toni has disappeared. The ant started their own business because they are afraid of wasting life. Maya starts looking for the ant and arrives just in time to make up for the silly pranks of the cheeky ant.

Maya flies to the hive to warn them of the hornets' threat, but the bees arrive too late - the hornets are invading the hive. Thanks to Maya's ingenuity and Willie's meticulousness, they manage to escape the worst.

Maya and Willi meet a waterbug; Maya is rescued by Mr. Blasterby.

Maya cannot get used to the fact that frogs that look so funny should be among their enemies, and so she almost ends up in a frog's stomach. Help comes from an unexpected side, as a little boy catches the frog and picks it up.

Flip's twin brother appears, and the peace is gone. The fly's glasses suddenly disappear and Willie is trapped. Flip is suspected, and he struggles to explain to his friends that he is not the culprit.

Maya organises a large scale rescue operation with a little help from the ants in order to save her friend.

It is already autumn and Willie is freezing and shivering, but Maya still doesn't think much of hibernation. Their motto is exercise, running, and gymnastics that keep them warm. But in the long run even Maya is powerless against the cold and snow.

Maya and Willie spend the night in the maybug's guest room. They sleep soundly, and one day spring is here: flowers, meltwater, blue sky. Maya and Willie can hardly believe that everything will come back to life.

When jumping, Maya ends up in Thekla's spider web, but she is saved by the bark beetle Kurt. Later, she gets the opportunity to return the favour, and she takes care of two snail children.

Maya and Willie find a small caterpillar that has forgotten what its cocoon looks like. The little caterpillar is desperate. Maya comes up with different options for what a suitable `house' could look like, but none of them are correct.

Maya and Willie meet a strange creature. Sometimes he is arrogant, sometimes full of fighting spirit, sometimes he flies elegantly and then again clumsily. He is not a butterfly, although he claims to be.

Maya wants to bend a natural law that she thinks is too cruel. With her friends Max and Willie, she ensures that the digger wasp can care for its offspring in peace.

Maya and Willie meet a cockroach, who talks about their experiences with humans. Maya and Willie are very curious to meet a person, but the story turns out differently than they imagined.

Maya discovers a lake and convinces Willie to take a boat trip. They climb a leaf and paddle happily into the middle of the lake. A carp approaches and puts the small leaf boat in danger.

Maya and Willie are careless for a moment, and a hornet is already trying to kill them. At the last second, Max comes to the aid of the earthworm, but he gets stung by the hornet.

Maya meets and befriends a cricket who has strong feelings about his violin lessons, and Maya learns more about it.

The insects come up with the idea of holding a beauty contest during the dance festival. The beautiful butterfly lady has the biggest chance of winning, but out of vanity, she only sees herself.

Locusts invade and endanger the paradise of the insects. In large quantities they eat their food, so Flip has to come up with something quickly.

Maya dreams that she is a super bee who will terrify those around her, but even in a dream she can't shake her true nature.

When nothing seems to be going right for the fat lady bee, Maya believes the only solution is dancing.
