The Messengers

A mysterious object plummets to Earth, sending out a shock wave that causes five strangers to perish, only to miraculously come back to life moments later. The group includes Vera, a struggling radio-astronomer searching for her missing son; Erin, a young mother desperate to protect her seven-year-old daughter from an abusive ex-husband; Peter, a troubled high school student; Raul, a federal agent looking to escape his dangerous and violent undercover assignment; and Joshua, a charismatic second-generation televangelist. Most mysterious of all is the figure known only as The Man, who offers Vera the one thing she wants most in life - if she will help him with one morally complicated task which puts her on a collision course with Rose, a nurse who has been in a coma for seven years. Drawn together by fate and biblical prophecy, the Messengers soon learn they have supernatural gifts that might be the only hope for preventing the impending Rapture.

Drawn together by destiny, Vera, Erin, Joshua, Raul and Peter convene together where they meet the mysterious Rose. Rose reveals that they are angels and their mission is to find and stop the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse from bringing about the Rapture. Meanwhile, The Man's real identity is revealed and he continues to tempt Vera with clues about her missing son.

On the hunt for the Horseman of War, Joshua, Erin and Peter make great strides for the group. Raul and Vera are more hesitant to believe and when they stray, there are unforeseen consequences. But when Vera discovers her gift, she finally starts to re-think her purpose.

The heroes must identify the Horseman of War and his victim at an international energy summit.

Erin tries to celebrate Amy's birthday in peace; Joshua attempts to jumpstart his visions.

Vera and Alan continue their investigation into the genesis stone's secrets.

The messengers uncover a cyber scheme to kill thousands; Joshua learns he can not escape his past.

An unexpected setback causes the Messengers to question the value of being an angel.

The Messengers learn that they have been betrayed by one of their own and that another is in danger.

The team travels to California to stop two brothers, one of whom may be the Horseman of Famine.

Conflicting clues result in a disagreement; Vera gets close to uncovering the master plan.

The group works together to free the 7th Messenger from a secret government facility. Joshua's latest visions indicate a new threat is underway.

In a heart-pounding series finale, The Messengers face off against the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, whose plan to break the fifth seal could destroy everything our heroes hold dear. It's up to The Messengers to stop the Horsemen once and for all... at any cost.
