Hotel Meina

World War II drama based on a real event that took place in September 1943 at a hotel by Lake Maggiore in northern Italy. As Italy signs the armistice with the Allies, an SS unit led by a sadistic captain and admirer of the Fuhrer, marches into a luxury holiday resort and incarcerates a group of Jewish holiday makers on the fourth floor of the Hotel Meina.
So begins a week of waiting, terror and hope, and whilst an anti-Nazi sympathizer attempts to orchestrate an escape for the Jewish families, Commandant Krassler smilingly imposes his ruthless authority...
