A stúdió 1.
Liz Lemon is called upstairs to meet the new network exec, Jack Donaghy, who instructs her to hire movie star Tracy Jordan to draw a young male audience to 'The Girlie Show'.
The crew of "The Girlie Show" is skeptical of having Tracy Jordan join the cast, especially when the show is retitled 'TGS with Tracy Jordan'. Feeling everybody blames them, Liz and Tracy decide to throw a party on a yacht.
Jack convinces Liz to go on a date with his friend Thomas. "He" turns out to be a woman. Liz is confused about it. Jack invites himself to writers poker night and takes the usual friendly game to high stakes. Jack can read all but Kenneth.
Jack starts sitting in on the writer sessions. They get annoyed by his weird, not-so-funny ideas and want him to stop, so Liz must tell him. She does, making him angry. Tracy sends Kenneth for nachos at Yankee Stadium and other "missions".
Liz wants Jack to be in a sketch which turns out horribly. Tracy sees opportunity when Liz thinks he can't read. Frank and Toofer make Jenna think Jack is going to fire an actor. She plans to use her secret weapon, her "sexuality."
Liz is back with her ex-boyfriend Dennis, a man she realizes is the rat king. Jack warns her of him but she is defiant. Jenna lies about her age to Jack, starts feeling old and does something to look younger. Tracy fears being normal.
Jack has Jenna bumped from the Conan show for Tracy, making her think he doesn't respect her. Tracy fears being boring on Conan and behaves crazier. Liz deals with wanting to break up with Dennis and the fact that she wants to break up.
Jenna takes Liz out on the town after she breaks up with Dennis, Jack is having problems with his new relationship, and Tracy and Toofer clash over negative African American stereotypes.
Tracy wants Josh fired because of Josh's impression of him. Liz hears her biological clock ticking and Jenna enlists the crew's help. Jack is stressed by constant calls from his mother. Josh's impressions come to the rescue.
Jenna is mad at Liz because she thinks her new movie is terrible, and Jack helps Tracy create and market a new cooking machine.
Jenna sends Liz to ask the Head on a date but Liz ends up with the Hair, a guy she feels out of her league. Jack has Kenneth switch jobs with him for a day. Tracy gets help writing his memoirs, pressing Frank and Toofer to meet deadline.
Jack asks Liz to accompany him to a societal event, the birthday party of a royal. When Jack's ex-wife arrives, he introduces Liz as a girlfriend. To help Pete reclaim his manhood, Tracy holds a party in the office, inviting girl dancers.
Liz makes staff work on Valentine's Day all night. She gets flowers but from whom? Jack and Bianca meet to finalize their divorce. He celebrates with Tracy who is role playing with his wife in a hotel room but Jack brings a hooker there.
Liz decides to be a nicer boss when she overhears one of the writers calling her an offensive name.
Kenneth is added to Tracy's entourage but doesn't realize he is used to Grizz and Dot Com giving preferential treatment. Jenna is named funniest woman but is quoted as saying she hates the troops. Jack plays hard ball in Josh negotiation.
Liz dates an African American man, Steven, but is uninterested. He accuses her of racism. Jack tries to mend a feud between Tracy and rap producer Ridikolus by having the former host the Source Awards and the latter endorse Jack's wine.
Eddie, Jack's brother, says their dad died and he has been taking care of him. Jack hasn't seen his dad in 17 years. Liz is required to fire 10% of her staff which stresses her but in aerobics, Liz sees her crush Floyd and his girlfriend.
Jack uses Kenneth to scout a young gay competitor, Liz poses as an alcoholic to impress a guy she has a crush on, and Dr. Spaceman tells Tracy that he is a descendant of Thomas Jefferson.
Because of the fireworks disaster, Don Geiss takes Jack off microwave programming. When he meets Liz's boyfriend Floyd, they hit it off too well. Tracy pitches a film to Don Geiss about Thomas Jefferson in which he plays the major roles.
Liz considers moving to Cleveland with her new boyfriend, Tracy thinks the "Black Crusaders" are after him for playing negative black stereotypes, and Jack has sexual problems with his new fiancée.
Tracy goes AWOL before the final show to avoid the "Black Crusaders," but Kenneth reveals that he's actually staying with his cousin. Meanwhile, the pressure of his imminent wedding and a visit by his mother lands Jack in the hospital.
