Asterix & Obelix möter Caesar

"Asterix ET Obelix Contre Cesar" is based on a small village from the Asterix and Obelix comic books and it’s in trouble. As it is the last place not controlled by the Holy Roman Empire bringing it always under the empire’s watchful eye. When a Tax Collector does not receive his money from the town villagers, Julius Caesar (Gottfried John) pays the village a visit. The village’s resistance against the empire is at the hands of a druid who brewed a potion that grants immortality to people. At a young age Obelix (Gérard Depardieu) fell into it and became immortal. Now the empire wants both the potion and Obelix to add to their might.
