Miss Marple
A brazen and egotistical murderer invites witnesses to see the killing by putting an advertisement in the local gazette the Chipping Cleghorne. A group shows up at a small cottage where Letitia Blacklock (Ursula Howells) and her older friend Bunny Bunner (Renee Asherson) share the digs to see what, if anything, will occur. An intruder is shot, though Letitia is mildly wounded by a bullet. Enter Miss Jane Marple (Joan Hickson) to sort out the dirty laundry and messy motives in a township where she can probe better than the local constabulary Inspector Craddock (John Castle) and Detective Fletcher (Kevin Whately). Miss Marple suspects the killing may be just beginning.
