Walt Disney Treasures
This is a compilation of early Walt Disney Mickey Mouse short films which became a series; many of them won Academy Awards. These shorts were used to teach artists, test effects, and try out new technology and innovations becoming available at the time, back in the late 1920s. This shows how Disney pushed animation forward. Leonard Maltin gives the introduction. This compilation features “Babes in the Woods,” “The Flying Mouse,” “Who Killed Cock Robin?”, “The Skeleton Dance,” “Egyptian Melodies,” “The Cookie Carnival,” “Birds of a Feather,” “Funny Little Bunnies,” “The Old Mill,” and many more. There are also a couple of hidden cartoons, featuring Walt Disney himself.
