This is the article in PieceWork Spring 2026 that reveals the red Ipswich lace and 2 other black silk laces we found in the Maine Historical Society on Zilpah Wadsworth Longfellow's mourning shawl.
It also contains some stories of lacemakers or lace consumers that we have assembled.
