Plot

This book covers a wide range of aspects of lacemaking - inspiration, design, thread choices, handling colour, drawing exciting grids to add dynamic movement to your work and solving problems, through to finishing and choosing equipment. There is also an examination of the creative process, and the twists and turns taken through a project as we seek answers to the questions hidden inside it. Included is a close look at fibres, which examines methods of calibrating and evaluating yarns to fit them to the grids in your lace, understand their special properties and use these to enhance your lacemaking. This is backed-up by a four-page yarn chart giving feedback on yarn types used by the author.
