Ponyo

Ponyo on the Cliff” is an animated fantasy about a fish named Ponyo (Yuria Nara) who swims away from home and is befriended by a human boy named Sosuke (Hiroki Doi). Through her friendship with Sosuke, Ponyo develops a desire to become human, much to the chagrin of her father, Fujimoto (George Tokoro). She uses magic to become human, causing a rift in the world, and resulting in a gigantic storm. Granmamare (Yuki Amami), Ponyo's mother decides that if Sosuke can pass a test, Ponyo can live on as a human and order in the world will be restored. A mystical adventure to reunite Sosuke with his mother Lisa (Tomoko Yamaguchi) ensues, through which the bond between Ponyo and Sosuke is strengthened.
