| Cover: | Sep 1971 |
Peter's worried about giving Gwen the life she deserves. He decides there's only one way to do it: to remove Spider-Man from the picture permanently. He tries an experimental potion designed to eliminate his spider powers, and succumbs to a strange dream, summarizing his history and greatest villains. He awakens to learn that the potion didn't have anything close to the effect he was hoping for, but he has most definitely changed.
