A giant interplanetary starfish lands in the ocean, and converts Earth starfish into its agents. Aquaman is notified of this, and gets word to the Justice League. Superman and Batman are too busy to join the group, so Flash must lead Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and J'onn J'onzz against the ill-defined threat. They soon learn that the fate of the world may rest in teenager "Snapper" Carr.
