Tales of the Green Lantern Corps Annual

"In Blackest Night" - Katma Tui is assigned to find an appropriate Green Lantern for a newly discovered region of space. The area was hard to locate because of its complete lack of light. When she finds someone who is worthy of the ring, she finds the Corps hard to explain, given that he had no concept whatsoever of colours or light.

"Guardian Angel" - Shingo-Wol was tasked with ending the civil war on a planet in his sector. He did so, but at a great cost: the yellow warriors united both factions in the battle against Shingo-Wol.

"Worship" - A Green Lantern has been worshipped as a god for years. It is only when other Green Lanterns arrive that the ruse is revealed, and the true risk to the planet can be dealt with.

"A Sense of Obligation" - Ahtier is pregnant, and about to die. Her will to see her child to safety overpowers her desire to comply with her ring's wishes to find a worthy successor.

"Yellow Fever" - A criminal flees through the desert, escaping the local Green Lantern. He fights back with a yellow weapon, killing the Lantern and taking his ring. He soon finds the yellow desert is not the best place to depend on a Green Lantern ring for survival.

"Many Are Called..." - A Lantern whose name cannot be spelled with any human alphabet arrives on a world, looking for his successor. He finds the successor quickly, but has a difficult time identifying the next Green Lantern as such.
