Plot

On a windy spring day in the Chilterns the calm organised life of Joe Rose is shattered by a ballooning accident. It could all have ended in mere tragedy, but for his brief meeting with Jed Parry. Unknown to Rose, something passes between them, resulting in a powerful obsession. Rose's scientific rationalism, threatens the love of his wife Clarissa and drives him to take desperate measures to stay alive.
