Plot

Cal, the nineteen-year-old protagonist, is a Roman Catholic who lives with his widowed father in a predominantly Protestant neighborhood of Ulster. Though tormented by local "Orangemen," Cal has no stomach for the terrorist tactics of his friends in the IRA.
