While cleaning out their cluttered basement, Jane finds an old cookbook brimming with her mother’s receipts and notes and clippings from the forties. Jane has always been hungry for details about her mother’s, Madeleine, life, as she died while giving birth to Jane. Through these precious, fragile pages, can Jane discover the spirit of the mother she never had the chance to know and love?
