What was refreshing about this book was its open-minded approach which said, "Not all rock is evil, just be aware of what the messages are in the music you listen to." This book is a balanced approach to the subject matter. Instead of teaching people to exclude entire genres of music from their lives, it teaches discernment about music... and about the other things that we choose to bring into our lives and hearts.
