Here is an intriguing series of vignettes drawn from the book of Ezekiel. The facile mind of an outstanding author has captured the cultural background and essential message of the prophet's ministry and skillfully applied the results to the contemporary scene. Following a scholarly introduction which deals with the "Son of Man" concept as related to Ezekiel and to Christ, individual expositions of selected sections reveal the prophet's central emphasis and clearly relate it to the message and ministry of Christ. The difficult imagery and demanding message which have made Ezekiel a conundrum to many are graphically explained and pertinently applied. As the work progresses, the day in which the prophet lived becomes our day, and the message which he preached becomes the message for modern man.
