It's not easy being teenaged martial artist Ranma Saotome, but it's even worse when your martial-artist father Genma takes you from home at an early age to go on a decade-long training mission. He doesn't speak a word of Chinese, and yet he insists upon bringing you to the cursed training ground known as Jusenkyo, where falling into one of the many springs there instantly turns you into whoever - or whatever - drowned there last. And then, the two of you have this little accident...From now on, a splash of cold water will turn your father into a giant panda, while you...well, you turn into a red-haired (and problematically well-built) female version of yourself. Hot water will reverse the effect, but only until the next time. What's a half-guy, half-girl to do?Synopsis Disc 1:If feelings weren't already hard to cope with at school, they're about to get even worse when the Principal takes a holiday and leaves Kuno in charge! Ranma is put to the test when he has to learn Martial-Arts Calligraphy...even though his handwriting is horrible. A surprise visit from the Jusenkyo Guide holds promise of a cure, even closer than Ranma thought. A demonic deck of cards makes multiple copies of Happosai, and finally, Ryoga learns a technique that could defeat Ranma!Synopsis Disc 2:Ryoga's new, potentially winning technique had Ranma down in the dumps. The Ghost Cat comes back with a plan to turn Shampoo into a cat, too - forever! An act of kindness sends Ranma out on a date with the spirit of an old man. A family trip to the mountains for an all-you-can-eat mushroom feast gives Ranma and Akane more than they bargained for. And then, when Genma makes the realization that his son's become stronger than him, the secret training regimen of Ranma's father begins....Synopsis Disc 3:An announcement from Madame St. Paul that "Piccolet may be a vampire!" takes everyone by surprise. A night of stargazing becomes an adventure when the legendary Princess Ori and her lover must be reunited - like it or not. Akane makes magical rice-cakes said to predict the man she's meant to be with, but Ranma's curiosity and fear of an upset stomach get in the way. Happosai comes up with a horrible new attack and, finally, Ranma gets caught in the middle of an all-out fight between Kuno and his sister, Kodachi!Synopsis Disc 4:When the most treasured of the Daimonji School is threatened, Sentaro comes to Ranma and Akane for help. Gosunkugi falls in love with (wait for it) a ghost. A family outing turns into a battle to decide who will win the title, "Miss Beachside." Finally, to save Akane, Ranmaa must learn (here it comes) Martial Arts Cheerleading. Can Ranma defeat theüber-peppy Mariko Konjo and cheer for Upperclassman Kuno, at the same time?Synopsis Disc 5:Kuno's gotten hold of musical instruments with magical deadly powers - is this a farewell performance?! A ninja dog comes to town bearing a love-letter for Akane (ninja dog?). A wimpy-looking seahorse found in a puddle of water turns out to be an immensely powerful dragon. Finally, when a woman claiming to be Ranma's mother - make that Mrs. Saotome! - arrives on the doorstep of the Tendo Dojo, Genma does everything in his power to make sure he and Ranma aren't seen by her...almost as though their lives were depending on it...!
