Wake Of The Red Witch

Sam (Gig Young) is a narrator and observer of events. Ship’s captain Ralls (John Wayne) can be dangerous. Sometimes he drinks too much and hates himself, and his motivations are not always clear-cut. Mayrant Sidneye (Luther Adler) is a very rich shipping expert who gets around in a wheelchair. Angelique (Gail Russell) is the woman they both love, although she is Sidneye’s wife. Sidneye and Ralls have a long history and are competitive and sometimes filled with mutual hatred, even though they respect and rely on each other too. Everything they do is for the sake of affecting each other.
