“Replicant” follows the investigation of Detective Jake Riley (Michael Rooker) as he hunts for a serial killer Edward Garrotte (Jean-Claude Van Damme) who kills women and then sets them on fire. It’s right before Jake’s retirement and Garrotte has struck again. With Garrotte still at large Jake is brought into a secret military project that deal with cloning. The company has cloned Garrotte and Jake is needed to train the Replicant Garrotte (Jean-Claude Van Damme) who in many ways is like a newborn baby. The Replicant can then track Garrotte anywhere in the world through a telepathic DNA link. There’s a chance that the Replicant may become just like it’s ‘parent’ however Jake won’t let that happen as the two of them hunt the serial killer.
