An dramatic telling of the role of the American PT Boats led defending the Philippines during World War II. Based on the true life stories of Lieutenants John Bulkeley (Robert Montgomery) and Robert Kelly (John Wayne), the movie depicts in accurate detail the American PT boats defense of the Philippines, December 1941 through April 1942. During which which Lieutenant Bulkeley was awarded a Medal of Honor and Lieutenant Kelly awarded the Navy Cross.
