Two young boys from the north find themselves in a small town in rural Alabama accused of a crime they didn't commit. Stan (Mitchell Whitfield) and Bill (Ralph Machio) cannot afford the expensive attorney they will need to be cleared of these charges, so Bill's family sends his Cousin Vinny Gambini (Joe Pesci) to defend them. Vinny, who has not ever been able to pass the bar, and his long time fiance Mona Lisa Vito (Marisa Tomei) find themselves in the foreign land of the south trying to defend the boys. The transition from New York city boy to Southern Gentleman Lawyer doesn't come easy for Vinny but he gives it his best shot. Hilarity is found around every corner in this classic comedy.
