A warlock (Julian Sands) living in Boston in 1691 is given a death sentence. A witch-hunter, Giles Redferne (Richard E. Grant), follows him as the warlock makes an escape into the future, Los Angeles in the 1980s, where he lands in a house that is inhabited by a woman named Kassandra (Lori Singer). The warlock gives her a hex and then searches for several portions of the Devil’s Bible, also known as the Grand Grimoire. Giles and Kassandra must stop the warlock in time before he can locate God’s true name, which can be used to undo all of creation.
