Thumbelina (Jodi Benson) is a thumb-sized girl who lives in the real world amidst regular sized people. Thumbelina feels uncomfortable being different and so small, so every night her mother tells her stories about fairies that are just her size. One night a fairy prince comes to Thumbelina’s window where they meet and fall in love. The prince leaves to tell his parents all about his new love. While he is gone, and after hearing her sing, a toad comes to kidnap Thumbelina to have her join his band “Singers de Espagna” The prince returns to Thumbelina’s window to find that she is missing and after asking the resident dog who witnessed Thumbelina’s kidnap, the fairy prince embarks on a quest to rescue Thumbelina. Many adventures and challenges unfold before Thumbelina and the prince, until with the help of many animal friends and the force of love, they find each other and live happily ever after.
